Online App Platform Attendify Partners with Eventbrite

The goal of the Eventbrite/Attendify alliance is to make event apps more social and engaging, the principals say

San Francisco-based event app platform Attendify announced today that it has partnered with online event registration service Eventbrite to create private social networking apps with the goal of boosting attendee engagement.

Event planners now can connect their Eventbrite account to Attendify to build apps with a private social timeline and enable photo sharing, messaging and development of attendee's profiles that automatically sync with Eventbrite, according to the company announcement.

“Event apps have taken off in recent years, but most event planners struggle to see a return on investment or even get attendees to download their apps," Michael Balyasny, Attendify's co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. "They want [their] app to boost engagement, help attendees network, and leverage the app for a more dynamic experience. Our partnership with Eventbrite makes that much easier to achieve."

New features developed specifically for the Eventbrite integration include ticket scanning as a log-in method. Event planners can also choose to sell tickets through their app and configure other integrations using Attendify's web-based management tools, the company said.
