I'm so moved by the beautiful events that we share with you in our Photo Galleries. We look at a range of events--from weddings to product launches to bar mitzvahs--all with an eye toward striking design.
These photos always remind me that great design packs an emotional wallop. I read a profound quote recently in the magazine W; designer Sophie Hicks explains—better than I can—why designers wield such influence:
"Designers follow what's in the air. There's a smell, and they all get it. And they have incredibly strong views about what's right and what's wrong."
Those strong views create indelible memories.
