Lights over London … The London Eye has a new glow thanks to Lighting Technology Projects of South Wales. LED fixtures now illuminate all 440 feet (135 meters) of the steel Ferris wheel's diameter. The LED lights replace the temporary fluorescents that previously lit up the structure …

Back in business … Last week, John Moran--former president of Classic Party Rentals--acquired Capital Party Rentals, a division of Capital Rentals. The Washington-based company sold its party rental division after 40 years in the business. "We decided to focus solely on our tool and construction rental business," said Brian Vaughan, Capital's president. Hageman, Stansberry & Associates represented Capital in the transaction. Terms were not disclosed …

They won't go … Following the breakdown of negotiations last week, thousands of British Airways' cabin crew will strike Jan. 29-31. The Transport and General Workers' Union warns it will call BA cabin crew to strike again on Feb. 6-8 and Feb. 12-14 if the dispute over sick leave, pay and staffing isn't resolved. The airline says that BA passengers already booked to fly between Jan. 29 and Feb. 16 will be able to change the date of their trip.
