ISES CPD SAILS INTO SUNNY MINNEAPOLIS

Great weather and picturesque local lakes are scheduled for display this summer in Minneapolis, home of the 2003 ISES Conference for Professional Development, Aug. 9-12. But great scenery is far from CPD's only draw, says conference co-chair Nancy Jacobs of Minneapolis-based Design Group. Slated activities include a string of seasonal-motif events such as the winter-theme Esprit Awards gala, being held at host property the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis. On the education side, CPD education committee chair Deborah Borsum, CSEP, of Elmhurst, Ill.-based The Meetinghouse Companies, says this year's lineup includes both new faces and proven presenters. Programs will cover such topics as trademark and licensing issues, and security and disaster management, and include an off-site tour of local event industry operations.
