Mirage Events used 25,000 yards of translucent fabric on walls and ceilings to create Bedouin tents for the 1997 New Year's Eve gala at the Mirage in Las Vegas. A tufted revolving platform became the stage for Arabian dancers, while 12 "flying carpets" on tracks swirled about the ceiling.
