The galas following the Emmy Awards, slated for September in L.A., will channel the bold, geometric vibe of iconic '60s designers Mary Quant and Rudi Gernreich. At a press preview last week, event producer Cheryl Cecchetto, head of 14-year Emmy ball producer Sequoia Productions, promised living art performers, moving chandeliers and "a surprise around every corner."

Replicas of Emmy trophies point to the "anemone" chandeliers, which will move over the course of the event. Images by Lighting will design the lighting.
