New App Helps Determine Food Cost
A new smartphone app, developed by Windsor Foods, lets caterers and banquet professionals calculate food cost and other profit-building functions. Available free from the iTunes' app store, the "profit calculator" app enables users to input cost per case, unit of measure, pieces per case and other variables to calculate their true food cost, then allows them to input pricing for a desired food cost percentage. Additional features of the app enable users to email, text, save or print calculations.
