Atomic cell cloth backdrop

New "Cell Cloth" Offered by Atomic Design
The new "cell cloth" backdrop fabric from Atomic Design features a dimensional origami design that packs easily yet retains its shape, the manufacturer says. The product is available in two styles: white sheer, which can be back lighted and functions well as a multilayered scrim, and opaque silver, which soaks up light and hides whatever is placed behind it. The cloth not only can be tied straight to a pipe or truss but also can also be used as a room divider, according to the company. The company offers other backdrops, cloths, curtains, swags, legs and drapes.

composter

Composter Turns Organic Waste to Water
The Orca Green bioreactor from Green Smart Food Services is designed to reduce organic waste to water in 24 hours, the manufacturer says. Useful for caterers and other foodservice operations, the machine reduces dumpster and hauling costs while creating a nutrient-rich "compost tea." Other eco benefits include less food waste headed for landfills, elimination of methane gas as a byproduct of food waste decomposition, and reduced insect and rodent infestation. The unit also processes disposable plates, cups and cutlery made from renewable resources, according to the manufacturer.

iShadow interactive surface

New iShadow Surface Interacts with Guests
The new iShadow interactive interface from Levy Lighting can be used to add excitement to events. When placed on a tabletop, the product illuminates from below, generating a unique "coaster" effect, following the guests' drinks as they move them over the surface. When used on a dance floor or runway, the product makes images materialize—such as roses at a bride's feet (see photo)--as people move across the floor. It can also be used on walls to project graphics that interact with speakers or performers.
