No beverage says “special events” like champagne, but opening the bottles can be a time-consuming and messy task. The PerfectPop champagne opener from Pine Plains, N.Y.-based K2 Development helps get bubbly into the glass without the dangers of flying corks and spills. The patent-pending opener, which consists of a stainless steel core covered by a silver-plated sphere, fits over the cork without requiring the removal of the foil or wire cage. The interior “blades” of the opener securely grab the foil, wire cage and cork; twisting the PerfectPop easily removes the cork from the bottle. Now, who wouldn't drink to that?
