EFX light columns from Orlando, Fla.-based Design Concepts Manufacturing have a secret: While they look as though they're filled with water and dancing bubbles, in fact they contain no water at all. The acrylic columns use airflow systems, digital LED color changers, optical lenses and halogen lighting to create an eye-catching effect that the company calls “aquallusion” — the illusion of moving water, without any of the potential hazards or maintenance. Standard sizes range from 4 1/2 inches to 16 inches in diameter and 4 feet to 24 feet tall. For more information call 407/854-9183 or visit www.aquallusion.com.
