The new Formtex Basic from Gerriets International is a unique scenic product that offers the appearance of a textile with the formable characteristics of aluminum sheeting, the company says. Formtex Uno consists of 100-micron sheeting with a single-sided textile lamination; Formtex Duo has a double-sided lamination. The product can be modeled, cut, sewn, printed and painted; it is waterproof and fire-retardant, the manufacturer says.

SnowMasters Debuts Low-cost FX Unit
The new Zig Oscillator from SnowMasters is a low-cost solution to providing greater coverage of special effects including snow, bubbles, smoke and scent by up to 70 percent, the company says. The machine allows for easy attachment of special effects equipment to be mounted and oscillated up to 90 degrees. The unit incorporates a motorized rotating mount that is easy to attach to any SnowMasters standard hanging bracket, according to the manufacturer. Included with the unit is a mounting plate and truss attachment designed to increase the disbursement of snow generated by a single snow machine and increase the spray pattern from one machine to the equivalent of three machines.
