High-tech meets the high life at L.A.'s Area.

Give celebrity wannabes the VIP treatment. A venue good enough for seasoned party animals such as Lindsay Lohan and Jay-Z is sure to please any style-savvy guest. Treat corporate and social guests to a party worthy of Hollywood royalty at these celebrity hangouts.

SCENE & BE SEEN: SBE Nightlife Group's dance club appeals to celebrities with its retro-chic environment. Waitresses dress in '60s garb — complete with white patent leather boots and fishnet stockings — and banquettes and sofas surround the dance floor. Area played a prominent role in the MTV reality show “The Hills.”

EVENT AREAS: The space can accommodate 500 guests in its 8,665 square feet.

CENTER STAGE: A VIP room with a faux picture window (a back-lit photograph of the Los Angeles skyline) affords the feel of a lofty private home in the Hollywood Hills. A tableside mixologist will create custom drinks for guests.

STAR-WORTHY: Technical treats include a LED light show above the dance floor and a state-of-the-art EAW Avalon sound system.

Tenjune Club

New York's Tenjune features a separate VIP entrance and private bathrooms.

TENJUNE

SCENE & BE SEEN: Having served as the site of music performances and Fashion Week events, Tenjune offers a swank setting with a ceiling made of wooden “waves” and a marble wall twinkling with points of light.

EVENT AREAS: The space measures 5,000 square feet and accommodates 350 guests. Upstairs, restaurant STK serves steakhouse fare.

CENTER STAGE: The VIP area, known as the purple room, is separated from the bar. Luxurious elements in this space include a marble hearth, plush carpet and padded walls sparkling with chrome buttons.

STAR-WORTHY: Popular elements of Tenjune include a separate entrance and private bathrooms. The club also offers three projection screens, four in-house gobo machines, marble shelving and a removable custom stage.

MOON NIGHTCLUB

SCENE & BE SEEN: This nightclub, perched on the top floor of the Palms Casino Resort's new Fantasy tower, offers state-of the-art amenities such as video projected on curtains of glass beads. The club's roof, 35 feet above the dance floor, serves as a giant video screen; it also retracts for a view of the night sky.

EVENT AREAS: The venue measures 12,500 square feet and includes a bar, lounge and dance floor. Other spaces include an exclusive mezzanine level with a balcony.

CENTER STAGE: Moon's decor includes computerized glass floor tiles that change color as guests move about.

STAR-WORTHY: The roof retracts during music and a laser and fog show. Past guests of Moon include Jenny McCarthy, John Lovitz, Donald Faison and Paris Hilton.

OPUS BAR

SCENE & BE SEEN: Located in the Opus Hotel, the bar has such luxurious fittings as Louis XV-style chairs and Philippe Starck-designed cherry stools. Glass-walled bathrooms and celebrity DJs up the glam factor.

EVENT AREAS: Intimate Opus I accommodates 15 guests, while the more spacious Opus II fits 50 people in its 615 square feet.

CENTER STAGE: Opus Bar is situated in the fashionable Yaletown district of downtown Vancouver.

STAR-WORTHY: Other amenities include complimentary car service anywhere in the city in a 7-series BMW.
