Vibrant shades of purple set the scene for Two Downtown's “Dedication Comes to Life” awards gala for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute in Seattle. For the 1,200-guest event, the company topped guest tables with plum and amethyst linen, dressing alternating chair backs in lavender and royal purple Sculptware Tuxtails. A standout head table was a sight in white linen, white napkins and white Tuxtails. A total of 135 centerpieces — 12-inch glass bubble vases filled with purple cattleya and pinstriped dendrobium orchids — added texture to the tabletop landscape, while color-changing lights transformed white Transformit panels on the room's elevated stage.

Crème de la Crème

Cream-color candles, china and satin chair covers were just the beginning of a not-quite-white decor scheme created by Coronado Weddings for a summer wedding at the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, Calif. In a room edged with twinkle-lit flowering dogwood trees, the design firm capped fruitwood chairs with custom-made cream organdy covers accented with crystal beads and satin ribbon. Atop tables, organdy squares overlaid cream satin linen, while gold-edged glass chargers provided a window onto the cream-and-bronze square menus set beneath them. The luxe look was completed by gold-banded crystal and flatware from Unique Tabletop Rentals, set aglow by hundreds of Swarovski crystal votives.
