London-based Davies Tanner, a public relations firm specializing in the events, hospitality and leisure industries, has announced plans to expand into the North American market by opening an office in Florida. The agency got its start in 1996.

"The American market is immensely important to us, and our research shows that the U.S. market would benefit greatly from a specialist agency with experience of the U.K. and European media,” managing partner Robert Wright said. “European publications, particularly in the meetings and convention sector, are always looking for good quality news stories from the American market. Having a permanent base in Florida will help us to achieve that, as well as expanding our own reach."

Davies Tanner's client list in the UK includes Dolce International, Accor, De Vere Hotels, Unique Venues of London Venue Directory and Alexandra Palace.

The Davies Tanner U.S. office is expected to be operational this summer.
