BSL Productions, a theatrical lighting production, rental and permanent installation company, has announced that it has purchased the assets of Baltimore Stage Lighting, a 28-year-old lighting operation. BSL Productions, Inc. is owned by Ajay Patil and Blayne Candy; the team also owns Showcall Inc., a special event technical production company located in Rockville, Md.

BSL will operate under the names "BSL" and "BSL Productions" and will be headquartered at their 30,000 square foot facility in Halethorpe, Md. The company already has events scheduled across the country and projects significant growth in the size of their inventory and the number of personnel soon, company officials have reported.

"Blayne and Ajay are exactly what this company needed ... a shot in the arm, solid management and a fresh direction," said Jamie Peck, director of production sales at BSL.
