L.A.'s NACE Chapter honors Michaels

Veteran event producer Andrea Michaels, founder of Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Extraordinary Events, has been awarded the Los Angeles Event Industry Achievement Award by the Los Angeles Chapter of NACE. The award recognizes outstanding event professionals in the southern California area. The chapter first gave the award in 2001 to John J. Daly Jr.

According to Steve Hand, vice president of Westlake Village, Calif.-based Go West Event Productions and fund-raising chair of L.A. NACE, Michaels deserves the award because of her “countless contributions to the growth of the special event industry worldwide.”

Michaels will receive the award at gala dinner on Sept. 19, which also serves as a fund-raiser for NACE scholarships and the SEARCH Foundation. For details, call the L.A. NACE hotline at 310/535-9866.
