Julia Rutherford Silvers, CSEP, head of Albuquerque, N.M.-based Speaking of Events, announced that she has posted the “Event Management Body of Knowledge” project on her Web site. This project attempts to analyze the processes and skills critical to professional event management.

Silvers says she encourages event professionals “to review, comment on, and contribute suggestions to it; also, please feel free to forward this on to other industry colleagues.”

She adds: “Please note that this is an independent endeavor without profit motives aimed at advancing the professionalism of the event industry. Your comments will be incorporated into this ongoing project, which will remain on my website for industry comment and use.”
