Staging Dimensions

, a Brisbane, Australia-based event design, lighting and staging company, will provide creative direction for the

2001 Goodwill Games Ball

, which benefits Australia’s Abused Child Trust. The event firm plans a “Moulin Rouge” theme for the Aug. 25 gala, to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. According to Russell Bennett, Staging Dimensions marketing manager, the theme concept “highlights the Abused Child Trust’s signature color of red, and mirrors the Goodwill Games’ public events program slogan of ‘RED—Paint the Town.’” The ball is the first social event to be held in conjunction with the 15-year-old Goodwill Games, a division of Turner Broadcasting System.
