Sandra Bartsch forms new event production agency

Sandra Bartsch, formerly a principal with Los Angeles-based Bartsch & Trotter, has announced her newly formed event production company Productions.

Bartsch started her career in Germany working for Mercedes-Benz. Among her career highlights as a staff producer for the Mercedes-Benz fairs and exhibition department was the "A-Motion-Tour" through 21 European cities, a project that successfully launched the A-Class for Mercedes-Benz and that still holds cult-status among European event producers.

"One of our specialties is intercontinental shows, that means we help European companies to bring their shows to the USA -- and vice versa," she said. "Naturally, American companies who value German integrity, quality and detail combined with a global perspective and European sophistication appreciate our service -- for projects here and overseas."

Bartsch notes that her firm will use a method of budgeting and invoicing that is shaped after the model German event agencies use. Pass-through items are billed at cost with a clearly identifiable handling fee. "This makes it clear to our clients, how much money actually goes to us, and what our service and our subcontractor's services actually cost," she said. "I think integrity in business and ethics are more important than ever, especially after recent scandals that shook corporate America."

The L.A.-based firm's services include concept development, strategy and consulting, location scouting, talent booking and management, technical planning, and set/décor design and production.

The company's phone number is 310/455 2822.
