The Western Publications Association has named Special Events Magazine a finalist in its “Maggie” awards competition in the category “Best Trade Publication, Circulation Under 50,000.” The magazine won the accolade for its December issue.

Special Events pulled in a second nomination for “Best Signed Editorial” for Lisa Hurley’s column “Editor’s Page.”

The Maggie Award will be handed out in April.
