The American Society of Business Press Editors has honored Special Events Magazine with three regional awards for its excellent design work. Art director Shari J. Robinson was awarded gold, silver and bronze awards for her cover design and opening spread design.

In related news, the high-end German event magazine—Event-Partner—featured a 2 ½-page interview with Special Events editor Lisa Hurley in its June-July issue. Hurley discussed the U.S. event marketplace and global event trends.
