Special events news this week includes AlliedPRA&#39;s new Young Leaders Committee

San Diego-based AlliedPRA has announced the members of its new AlliedPRA Young Leaders Committee: Alli Shebek (Arizona, account manager), Liz Hansen (Las Vegas, national sales manager), Kendall Wilson (San Diego, operations manager), Sarah Howard (New Orleans, account manager), and Kelsey Linden (Northern California, account manager). The team will be tasked with working closely with AlliedPRA headquarters by bringing fresh insight and creative solutions for established company initiatives. Also, the Young Leaders Committee will serve in an advisory and ambassador role to help to shape and move these initiatives forward.

Robin Selden, executive chef at Stamford, Conn.-based Marcia Selden Catering and Event Planning and a member of the Special Events Advisory Board, has been named incoming president of the International Caterers Association. Also, Marcia Selden Catering has just been inducted into the Connecticut Restaurant Association’s Hall of Fame--the only caterer ever to receive this honor.

Alexandria, Va.-based National Trade Productions has announced the promotion of Ryan Brown to vice president of sales and event services, focusing on exhibit and sponsorship sales, revenue growth and increased profitability for NTP's portfolio of trade-show clients and proprietary events.

Rental and inventory management software provider Point of Rental Software, based in Grand Prairie, Texas, announces the release of new branding, including a new logo, colors, and product names. With customer growth at an all-time high and the company's Australia office opening in January, Point of Rental opted for the brand makeover not only to differentiate its products, but also to better reflect that growth, management said.
