A Gala Award-winning gala from Classic Party Rentals

Los Angeles-based Classic Party Rentals, the biggest event rental company in the U.S., announced Monday that it has acquired the special event equipment inventory of Fredrick, Md.-based Signature Special Event Services. Terms were not disclosed.

The deal means that Classic Party Rentals and its Classic Tents subsidiary now own the nation’s largest inventory of curved beam clear-span structures, large pole tents and frame canopies used for special events, sporting events, facility expansion and the hospitality industry, according to a statement from the company.

“We are excited to acquire Signature’s significant inventory, which is highly compatible with our existing Classic Tents inventory,” said John Campanelli, CEO of Classic Party Rentals. “We know how to profitably run a rental business that provides superior client service and retains our valued employees. We are excited to be serving former Signature clients and continuing to grow our expanding national event business.”

Classic will consolidate Signature’s inventory into its existing network operations in both the East and West to most effectively service Classic’s existing customers as well as former Signature customers, the company said. Classic will use its industry leading organization to continue to provide "outstanding service and support for tenting and each event item required under the tent."
