Lounge act: Classic Party Rentals turns its parking lot into a party.

L.A.’s rental powerhouse Classic Party Rentals (www.classicpartyrentals.com) turned a typically cool June evening last week into a hot party for 650 guests at its El Segundo location, the former Regal Rents.

The event team tented 5,000 square feet of parking lot to create a stylish lounge environment lavishly draped in vivid magenta and purple with acid green valences and paper lanterns.

The company's signature Chameleon chairs featured wooden backs and orange seat cushions, while orange linen dressed tabletops.

Name game: Classic rebrands the former Regal Rents facility.

High-end local florist The Woods created the spare, modern floral in clear glass vases. Greg Day designed the lighting.

As the Fresh Green Jazz Band played, guests including Classic’s clients, vendors and team members visited buffets offering sushi from Chaya Venice, Thai dishes from Natalee Thai and pizza from California Pizza Kitchen. The bartenders dispensed drinks in Classic’s new “Opus” glassware line--Schott Zwiesel unleaded crystal featuring long stems and an angular flare at the base of the bowl.

President's party: Classic president John Campanelli greets guests.

In between bites, guests could play pinball and other games from Plan-It Interactive.

As befitting an L.A. event, departing guests carried off a swag bag with See’s chocolates and Classic-branded tchotchkes including pens and notepads.

“[Classic’s] Cheryl Evanoff and her event planning team really put on a party that we were all very proud to show to our clients,” notes Michael Miner, Classic’s v.p. of sales and marketing. “We view our client and vendor relationships as true partnerships. A night of fun and celebration with those who make up the fabric of our business is a pleasure for us to be a part of."
