To create a five-star restaurant in the hosts' backyard, the event team builds a 20-by-10-by-8-foot solid wood cabana to shelter the "royal table."

The cabana is actually two 10-by-10-by-8-foot structures that are attached to each other. The structure sat upon decking to elevate guests above the lawn.

The setting for each of the 10 diners included a pillow for the feet, a pashmina for female guests, a hand towel, and individual sets of condiments.
The elegant cabana was been "a tremendous asset in upselling decor" for tropical parties, the event team notes. The client wound up buying the cabana for her husband as an additional birthday gift.

The 10-course meal included this trio of ceviches: Alaska wild salmon, hamachi and yellowfin tuna.
The sixth course: foie gras with a caramelized stone fruit salad and white wine verjus.
The beef course: braised short rib served over sunchoke puree and an oven-roasted root vegetable cake.
Dessert is a molten chocolate "lava" cake with assorted fresh berries.
