British special effects experts are continuing their tradition of creating stunning projection spectacles this summer, including the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland and Art on the Waterfront in Liverpool.

For the Tattoo—celebrating its 60th anniversary—London's E/T/C is supplying 90-meter-wide (295 foot) projections on Edinburgh Castle, including giant dancing skeletons, Chinook helicopters descending into the arena and giant palm fronds.

The spectacle runs through Aug. 29.

Art on the Waterfront has seen Manchester-based DBN Lighting wash the stately Port of Liverpool building with dramatic lighting.
