Top event professionals from a wide range of disciplines gathered last week for the first-ever ISES Global Event Summit, sponsored by VisitScotland Business Events. Supporters are Cvent, and Events are GREAT Britain, and IMEX.
Imagine a Great Wall of China made of colorful parasols and thrilling entertainers--guests saw it all at the 2015 Daffodil Ball from Alison Silcoff Events and partners including Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth and Decor and More. The gorgeous event won a Gala Award in January from Special Events magazine.
Despite the constraints of a tight budget, the Peninsula Chicago team treated 1,200 guests to a private event revealing the hotel's multi-million room renovation. Although many function spaces were already in use, attendees visited a variety of themed spaces within the property, including a "Tastefully Thai" area and "Urban Chicago"; the menu included everything from strawberry-yuzu terrine to lobster corn dogs.
The event is a 2016 Special Events Gala Award nominee.
