The Brightest Stars

The Sci-Port Discovery Center, located in Shreveport, La., opens its interactive laser space planetarium on Nov. 18. The $11.6 million, 25,000-square-foot planetarium joins exhibits such as Foucault's Pendulum, a solarium and a rooftop observatory. Navigation stations allow visitors to control the action on the planetarium screen. One space show involves discovering the position of the stars on the day you were born.
