Legendary Polynesian-theme restaurant Trader Vic's has been reincarnated at L.A. Live, the entertainment complex in downtown Los Angeles.

The restaurant features an 80-seat private room (see photo) with special menus and services available for private events, management says.

A glass-enclosed Chinese wood-fired oven turns out smoked meats.

Decor elements include tiki masks, tribal artifacts, carved wood and plants.

Throughout 2009, the restaurant will host events and offer specials to honor the 75th anniversary of Trader Vic's founding, in 1934.
