The Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta opened a new lounge, Pulse, on July 9. Two more new venues are Sear and High Velocity, a sports bar with 21 plasma TVs. Other aspects of the hotel's $138 million renovation include modernizing the Imperial Ballroom, 12 breakout rooms and 15 meeting rooms. Also, eight new meeting rooms offer an additional 11,000 square feet of space.
