Biltmore Opens Tavern, One Ocean Offers Deals, Spruce Mountain Debuts Lodge

Biltmore Opens Cedric's Tavern
The legendary Biltmore estate in Asheville, N.C., has opened Cedric's Tavern, a tavern featuring locally brewed ales. Located on the 8,000 estate, Cedric's features the Loft area, which is reserved exclusively for private events. Cedric's offers more than 1,900 square feet of flexible meeting space and a terrace overlooking Antler Hill Village. Activities for groups at Biltmore include indoor and outdoor tours, wine-appreciation seminars and customized programs such as fly-fishing, cooking classes and off-road driving courses.

One Ocean Resort Offers Deals
One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa in Atlantic Beach, Fla., has launched a discount program for new groups arriving between July 1 and Oct. 1, 2010. The "Summer Splash of Savings" program includes overnight accommodations for $159 per room per night, a one-hour cheese and wine reception, complimentary meeting space for attendees staying at the property, free WiFi in sleeping rooms and meeting rooms, a 10 percent discount at the hotel's spa for attendees or their guests, and a 5 percent guest credit applied to an additional meeting to actualize by Dec. 29, 2010. The hotel offers 10,500 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, management says.

Spruce Mountain Debuts Lodge
The 400-acre Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch, located in Larkspur, Colo., has opened Albert's Lodge for meetings and events. With reception and banquet capacity of 250, the lodge features a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, a full-service pantry and private VIP area. An oversize screen drop from the ceiling enhanced with an LCD projector with multiple connection ports delivers convenient access points, management says. Spruce Mountain is partnering with Denver-based Epicurean Catering in "Grillworks," offering Western-style gourmet catering at the ranch. "Ranch hands" dressed in jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hats will serve hickory-smoked beef, pulled pork and buffalo burgers to event guests.
