OLYMPIA THEATER AT THE GUSMAN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

SHOW & TELL: A grand staircase and Spanish baroque chandeliers in the Gusman Center's lobby greet guests. Built in 1926, the space has undergone a complete renovation over the past six years.

EVENT AREAS: For a unique perspective, 250 guests can dine on the theater's 2,620-square-foot stage and enjoy a sweeping view of the interior.

UPSTAGED: The theater can accommodate 1,564 guests in the orchestra, mezzanine and balcony sections.

STAR POWER: The theater's restored marquee, as well as its ticket windows and shadow boxes, can tout an upcoming event.

THE HENSON SOUNDSTAGE

SHOW & TELL: Built in 1917, the soundstage on the Jim Henson Co. lot has a storied history; Charlie Chaplin was the original owner. The Tudor-style courtyard measures 7,000 square feet and can accommodate 750 guests.

EVENT AREAS: An intimate private screening room can hold groups of 30; the soundstage has a 27-foot-high ceiling and measures 7,500 square feet.

UPSTAGED: The venue offers on-site production services, including state-of-the-art technology systems.

STAR POWER: Available event elements include red carpet arrivals, food and beverage facilities, private dressing rooms and on-site security.

NBC UNIVERSAL

SHOW & TELL: The Universal Studios lot features event space in the form of back lots, soundstages and a restaurant.

EVENT AREAS: Up to 2,500 people can fit on the back lot locations, while the soundstages range in size from 6,000 to 15,000 square feet.

UPSTAGED: The Studio Restaurant Grill and Cafe measures 5,900 square feet; its two rooms can hold between 250 and 300 guests. Decor features include framed movie posters.

STAR POWER: Entertain guests with activities focused on Hollywood, such as the “Make Your Own Movie” team-building exercise and the Universal Studios tour.

STAGE 6 AT STEINER STUDIOS

SHOW & TELL: The contemporary venue is part of Steiner Studios, the largest movie studio on the East Coast.

EVENT AREAS: On the fourth floor, the rooftop has a 3,700-square-foot outdoor terrace with dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline across the East River and 4,300 square feet of indoor space. Downstairs, a screening room seats 100 guests.

UPSTAGED: The Skyview Ballroom measures 10,650 square feet and can be split into three separate spaces.

STAR POWER: Abigail Kirsch, the venue's exclusive caterer, provides such chic delicacies as potato “coins” with caviar and foie gras lollipops. The latter is an hors d'oeuvre with a port-currant gelee glaze set in a shadow box filled with wheat grass.
