In recognition of its environmentally sensitive policies, the Fairmont Chicago has earned a bronze certification from the nonprofit Green Seal organization.

The hotel features energy-efficient equipment in office, kitchen and laundry facilities, water-saving faucets, showerheads and toilets, a recycling program, use of 30 percent post-consumer recycled paper, and a green purchasing policy.
