Grand Hyatt Buckhead Debuts Group Bill Program
The Grand Hyatt Atlanta has launched its "Group Bill" technology, a real-time billing and tracking system developed to assist event planners. The technology allows planners to track and reconcile costs daily from the comfort of their own computer or workspace. The interactive PDF offers planners a table of contents, general summaries with hyperlinks back to the original charge, graphic design created to reduce eyestrain, and multiple levels of billing detail. The result is reduced paperwork for planners, hotel management says. The 440-room property, located in Atlanta's fashionable Buckhead neighborhood, features a total of 30,000 square feet of function space including 17 meeting rooms and three outdoor terraces.

Nomad Hotel Offers Holiday Event Options
The Nomad Hotel, which opened earlier this year at the corner of Broadway and 28th Street in Manhattan, offers a range of event spaces for holiday parties. The 168-room property offers more than 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space and private dining areas. The Library (see photo at left) is a two-level space featuring a spiral staircase imported from France; guests can relax on custom-made lounge furnishings or dine at a communal mahogany table. The hotel offers state-of-the-art AV equipment and turnkey event planning, according to management.

Platinum Hotel Ballroom Opens
The new 2,000-square-foot Platinum Ballroom at the Platinum Hotel in Las Vegas was designed to accommodate the needs of both business and social events; it is ideal for smaller groups, management says. Located one block off the legendary Strip, the property offers 255 one-and two-bedroom suites. All told, more than 13,000 square feet of event space, both indoors and outdoors, is available, including the Platinum Pool. Misora is the hotel's rooftop venue, which accommodates group of up to 100 and offers dramatic Strip and mountain views.
