Private Terrace Offered at Renaissance Chicago Downtown
The 6,500-square-foot Chicago Skyline Terrace at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel is available only for private events, management says. The terrace, which can accommodate receptions and groups of up to 450 guests, offers panoramic views of the Chicago River as well as bustling State Street. The property offers nearly 35,000 square feet of meeting space, including 17 meeting rooms and the Grand Ballroom, which can seat up to 1,106 guests. High-speed WiFi is available in each conference room.

Sheraton Nassau Offers Deals
The new "Work Hard, Play Hard, Give Back" promotion from the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, offers special saving for meetings and functions booked by July 31, 2010. The new package includes a four percent credit to the master account; a complimentary PepsiCo food and beverage break; a chance to win a $50,000 charitable grant; and one VIP three-night stay at participating Caribbean properties for group programs of 50 rooms or more. The resort offers 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, which can accommodate events and meetings of up to 1,200 attendees. The 12,500-square-foot ballroom is complemented by four additional breakout rooms as well as pre-function areas.

Stir Event Space Debuts at Renaissance Esmerelda
The new event space Stir at the Renaissance Esmerelda in Indian Wells, Calif., is designed to transform from a teen-oriented room complete with Wii video games, computer access and snacks into a dramatic meeting space with floor-to-ceiling views of nearby mountains. The venue can accommodate up to 299 guests, management says; menus at Stir include coconut shrimp, salads, sandwiches, steaks and chicken; the cocktail menu offers a Pomegranate Mojito and signature Desert Rose martini. All told, the property offers 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space including the 16,500-square-foot Emerald Ballroom. The family-friendly resort hosts parties themed to Nickelodeon characters such as Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer.
