Walt and Lillian Disney

Walt Disney Family Museum Opens Oct. 1
New in San Francisco's Presidio is the Walt Disney Family Museum, which opens tomorrow, Oct. 1. The museum chronicles the early life of Walt Disney, from his pioneering cartoon days through his remarkable success in entertainment and theme parks. With an emphasis on creativity and innovation, exhibits include his early drawings, storyboards, the narrow-gauge Lilly Belle train Disney built for his home, and his early model for Disneyland. Also featured will be many home movies shot by Disney himself. The focus is on interactive exhibits. Photo courtesy Walt Disney Family Foundation © Disney.

The space can be configured to host a variety of events, from seated dinners for 600 to parties and corporate meetings for 1,000. The venue is close to Philadelphia's city center, New Jersey and Delaware.
