Wyndham Orlando Bonnet Creek to Debut
Set to open in October, the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Fla., will offer more than 25,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor event and meeting space, serving events from 16 to 800 attendees. The Mediterranean-inspired resort is situated lakeside on Bonnet Creek’s 500 acres of woodlands, minutes from Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and other local attractions. The ballrooms and Grand Foyer will feature 19-foot ceilings; the 14th floor boardroom overlooks a private 10-acre lake. An on-site conference concierge will help execute events. The property is now accepting reservations from Oct. 15 and beyond.

Hyatt Regency Irvine Boosts WiFi Capabilities
Located in Irvine, Calif., the Hyatt Regency Irvine has introduced an improved, state-of-the-art Internet system enabling guests to enjoy better wireless connectivity throughout the hotel, including rooms, meeting spaces and public areas around the property. WiFi access is now free in the hotel's café. The new Internet system includes CAT6 wiring to the hotel’s meeting spaces and concurrent dual-band (5GHz/2.4GHz) a/b/g/n best-in-class 802.11n smart WiFi access points. The property features 536 guestrooms, each equipped with an iPod docking station, and more than 36,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The hotel's Grand Ballroom is the largest in Irvine, according to management.

Sunset Key Offers Event Buyout Option
Located in Key West, Fla., the Westin Sunset Key Guest Cottages resort is now available for buyout. The property can accommodate incentive programs of up to 150 people, and multilevel buyout packages for single events or up to three nights/four days are available. Prices typically start at $1,250 per person per night and vary based on season and package inclusions, according to management. The resort has also just introduced a new three-bedroom deluxe oceanfront cottage designed specifically for wedding parties and other special events. The cottage offers private beach-style event space, an expansive covered patio and gourmet kitchen.
