Big Chicago-based DMC PRA Business Events, included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs” list, has acquired Koncept Events of Oakland Park, Fla., which specializes in the south Florida, Mexico and Caribbean markets. Koncept Events’ leaders Hillary Smith, CMP, CSEP, and Angie Nelson will continue in leadership roles within the PRA system--Smith will serve in the newly created role of executive creative director for the PRA system, and Nelson will take the role of general manager of PRA South Florida.

Leading rental company Woburn, Mass.-based Peak Event Services, included on the latest Special Events “30 Top Rental Companies,” announced that it has merged its Boston locations into an expansive new showroom located at 15 Elkins St. in South Boston. The 4,000-square-foot space features a private conference room for client meetings and design presentations, a wide breadth of products on display, and design services for both industry professionals and individual customers, the company said.

Big Branch Productions, with offices in Los Angeles and Nashville, Tenn., has launched an experiential marketing division dedicated to creating authentic, immersive experiences between artists and brands and connecting those experiences with their fans and consumers, the company said.

DMC consortium DMC Network has announced further expansion in the Caribbean with the debut of its affiliate partner Island Destination Services, located in the Bahamas. 

IVI DMC² Enterprises, a destination management company with eight offices in five countries in Latin America, has announced the promotion of Raquel Mijares, DMCP, to vice president of marketing and Mariana Leon to corporate business director.

Brand experience agency Cogs and Marvel has named Brittnell Anderson design director in its San Francisco office.

Irvine, Calif.-based DMC 360 Destination Group has launched a preferred DMC partnership with the Marriott Marquis Houston.

Travis McBurney has joined XO Bloom in Westlake Village, Calif., as sales and operations manager.

The Greater Columbus Convention Center has announced the promotion of Amy Huggins to director of culture and training and Lea Westerfield to guest experience manager.

The Creative Engagement Group, based in London, has hired Richard Burton to oversee its employee engagement operations.
