Who’s News in Special Events for July 19, 2018

Special events business news this week includes 360 Destination Groups new additions to its global business development team.

Big DMC 360 Destination Group, headquartered in Irvine, Calif., has expanded its global business development team with the addition of Jennifer Carlson and Jennifer Selley. Carlson and Selley will collaborate with director of global business development Sean Kirkland to help clients determine the right destination for their meeting and incentive programs and connecting them with 360’s 15 local offices in the U.S.

Event marketing agency George P. Johnson, based in Auburn Hills, Mich., has been selected as one of the five partners to build the Pavilion USA 2020 at Expo 2020 Dubai.

ExCeL London has named Emma Charter marketing manager. She will focus on conferences and events with responsibility for the corporate and agency market, as well as association business across the U.K., Europe and North America. She will also have marketing responsibility for CentrEd at ExCeL, the venue’s dedicated meeting and training facility. 

International event producer VOK DAMS, headquartered in Germany, has announced the launch of its “Safety Check” program. The program will provide comprehensive security consulting that is individually tailored to the customer's event. The plan can be implemented either by the client or by the agency.

Woodridge, Ill.-based Orbus Exhibit and Display Group has announced that the company has added four sales representatives to its Las Vegas display and graphic manufacturing/supply facility. Sales staff now working out of Orbus Las Vegas includes Ryan Gregg, business development representative; Alex Nunez, senior sales consultant; Bill Roman, sales representative; and Daniel Wolfe, business development representative. Kaitlin Kennedy, business development representative, is scheduled to transfer from Woodridge to Las Vegas later in the year.
