AlphaVites Offers Die-cut Invitations
The new AlphaVites—recently highlighted at The Special Event in the "Michael Cerbelli's Hot Event and Entertainment Ideas 2011" session--are custom die-cut invitations; each page is a letter that spells a name or message. Nearly 20 themes—ranging from birthday to graduation to "diva"—are available; the company will also create a custom theme. Clients can add messages and photos to each staggered "page" of the invitation. The invitations can be ordered online and clients receive a PDF proof for their approval. The minimum order is 50.

CORT Debuts Essex Line at The Special Event
The "Essex Collection" from CORT Event Furnishings made its debut last week at The Special Event 2011. Essex, which is part of CORT's Lounge 22 product suite, features a sophisticated two-tone sofa and chair (see photo) with black Ultrasuede trim and fits with the "Hollywood glamour" trend. Also making its debut was the Bali sofa, an upscale gallery piece with a seemingly floating seat back. The "mid-century cool" Bali sofa is available in black, white or camel.

Floral Pins New from Fifty Flowers
The new line of floral pins from Fifty Flowers—named by celebrity event planner Sasha Souza as one of her "favorite things" at the The Special Event Wedding Lunch last week—are short pins with decorative heads. The pins make it easy to customize a bouquet handle, add an accent to a flower, or decorate a boutonniere stem. The pins are available in three color palettes--Jewel, Twinkle and Sparkle—and 32 colors; two different head sizes are offered. Orders can range from 400 pins to more than 5,000.
