Crystallized Flower Co. uses organic growing methods to grow edible flowers and then crystallizes them to create beautiful accents for cakes and other treats. The company's line includes violas, pansies, snapdragons, lavender, miniature roses, calendula daisies, mint leaves and borage flowers; it is the only company that offers crystallized daylilies, management says. The petals and leaves are preserved in a mixture of sugar and meringue; the crystallized blooms have a shelf life of about one year when stored properly, the company says.

Kardwell Offers Light-up Ice Buckets, Trays
The line of light-up ice buckets and trays from Kardwell International features LED lights that slowly change color from red to blue to green; alternatively, the lights can be stopped on any one of the three colors, the company says. The trays measure 14 inches in diameter; the buckets come in two sizes: 6.5-inch diameter by 5.75 inches high, and 9.25-inch diameter by 11.5 inches high. The units operate on three AA batteries. Both the buckets and trays can be custom-imprinted with a logo or message.
