Just in time for the holidays, Artificial Ice Events offers its synthetic ice rink. Made of a special polymer plastic with the consistency of a giant cutting board, the rink is pieced together in 4-by-8-foot sheets, then sprayed with a solution that reduces friction and enhances skaters' glide and speed, the company says; the result is an experience that closely mimics skating on an ice rink. The system does not require refrigeration and can be installed on a temporary or permanent basis. The company also offers ice skating supplies.

Eco-friendly Chafing Fuel Debuts
Candle Lamp's "Green Heat" warming gel is created from plant-derived, corn-based ethanol for use as chafer fuel. The product contains no toxic denaturants, the manufacturer says, resulting in an eco-friendly fuel that has been officially endorsed by the Green Restaurant Association. Disposal of the product results in no hazardous decomposition products, according to the company. The product comes in various sizes: one-hour, two-hour and three-hour cans.

Light-up Ice Buckets Available
Light-up ice buckets from Kardwell feature LED lights that slowly change color from red to blue to green, or can remain on one color. Two sizes are available: 6.5-inch diameter by 5.75 inches high, and 9.25-inch diameter by 11.5 inches high. Both buckets require three AA batteries.
