The database for the massive Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which draws nearly 100,000 guests a day over two weekends in April, has been hacked, according to the Los Angeles Daily News:
Producers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival sent an email warning about a breach to users who had created accounts for the desert event. The notice said passwords and financial information were not compromised. It says that unauthorized third parties have gained access to their names, their user names, email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers and birth dates.
