A corporate client wanted a prehistoric theme for its big holiday party but no rehash of “Jurassic Park." So Russell Harris Event Group—aided by a film-industry art director—came up with “Prehistoric Christmas.” The 1,250 guests at the Long Beach [Calif.] Convention Center enjoyed a stunning setting complete with a waterfall, dinosaurs, and a lava-spewing volcano--an event that just won a 2018 Special Events Gala Award.
