Hyatt Regency San Antonio has completed a renovation of all 630 guest units, a $38 million project. The hotel’s 602 guest rooms and 28 suites have undergone total transformation, including the installation of floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the River Walk, the Alamo, and other parts of downtown San Antonio. Rooms now have new hardwood flooring, 75-inch flat-screen televisions, mini-refrigerators, and work-oriented desks, along with completely renovated bathrooms. Hallways and elevator waiting areas also received updates. The completed renovation comes just in time for the hotel’s 40th anniversary. 

Fairmont Phoenix has announced its plans to construct a 250-foot-tall hotel and condo tower, to be placed above the four-story former Arizona Hardware Supply Co. building. The 25-story property will feature 225 guest rooms, 34 suites, and 151 private residences, along with 23,000 square feet of meeting and event space. There will be four food-and-beverage outlets on site: an upscale restaurant, a gourmet café, a lobby bar, and a rooftop pool bar with a terrace. Additional amenities will include a full-service spa and wellness center. There is no set date for completion, but Fairmont is hoping to be in service by 2025. 

Dream Hotel Las Vegas has officially broken ground after a year of delays. The new property will be within walking distance of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, with 531 guest rooms, 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, three restaurants, and four nightlife venues. David Daneshforooz, CEO of Contour, the hotel’s developer, said that “there is no shortage of megaresorts in Las Vegas. But there is a lack of boutique hotels that offer a more intimate, curated experience.”
