Epic Hotel Launches Power Hour Meetings Package
Miami's new Epic hotel has launched its Power Hour meetings package, available to planners who book and consume meetings by Dec. 31. The package includes one-hour early check-in, one-hour later check-out, a daily hosted wine hour, a happy hour with special pricing, a one-hour massage for the planner or a designated guest, one category room upgrade for a VIP, plus other options. The waterfront hotel in downtown Miami offers a range of indoor meeting space on its 14th floor, including eight flexible meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Sheraton Boston Debuts Meetings Innovations Program
Sheraton's new Meetings Innovations program will debut at the Sheraton Boston, the largest convention center hotel in New England, management has announced. The program will cater to today's attendee by offering less formal, smaller, more flexible meetings that focus on collaboration and rely on connectivity. Also available at the Sheraton Boston is the new Alive on Five offering—a fifth floor space dedicated to the environment and social responsibility, the company says. The venue offers sustainable menus with locally sourced foodstuffs, natural lighting, water purified on the property, and office supplies made from recycled materials.
Water's Edge in Connecticut Offers Party Packages
Throughout the month of December, the Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, Conn., is offering five different holiday party packages designed to be creative while affordable. The packages range from a two-hour cocktail party with butlered hors d'oeuvre at $24 per person to a plated dinner with stationary and butlered hors d'oeuvre at $51 per person. Planners can also create their own party package including hors d'oeuvre, a buffet dinner and an ice carving. The resort, which is located on Long Island Sound, features decorations and Christmas trees in the main lobby and at the front entrance. Groups booking holiday parties are entitled to a special overnight rate of $135 per night.
