The invitation includes a "passport" to a weekend of activities, a "boarding pass" inviting guests on a journey from "a single life to happily ever after," and a "pre-flight video"--a DVD of videoclips from famous movies set in San Francisco, the wedding city.
The custom stamp for the invitation echoes the aviation theme.
Guest "check in" at the reception.
A simple drape covers only a doorway in the venue's dramatic, barrel-vaulted lobby. Guests are free to admire the elegant marble and bronze features.
Purple Vanda orchids line the aisle, providing dramatic contrast to the black chiavari chairs with lilac cushions. A string quartet played airline theme music including "Blue Skies" and "Under Paris Skies."
A closer view of the altar pieces. The florist later moved them to the reception.
After much effort, the event team obtained a pair of wing pins from the airline on which the couple originally met. The couple exchanged the wings instead of lighting a unity candle.
The bridesmaids' monochromatic bouquets of purple dahlias, fringe tulips and Vanda orchids.
Real-life flight attendants from Southwest Airlines--the airline on which the couple first met--greet guests at the reception.
A lighthearted floral arrangement--complete with airplane. The bride requested her favorite color palette--tangerine and purple.
At the cocktail reception, guests can snack on elegant hors d'oeuvre along with Southwest Airlines' peanuts and pretzels.
Vivid tangerine floral on the mantle at the reception.
Food stations include the "Mission taco" station--a nod to a San Francisco fave.
The sourdough panini station.
At the end of the cocktail hour, the door to the "jet bridge" opened and guests were invited to "board" their flight. Escort cards die-cut in the shape of flight attendant wings guided them to their tables.

Tables are topped with lilac bengaline linen and feature a mix of tall and low centerpieces.
Tall arrangements of tangerine dianthus are perched atop thin stands, suggesting puffy clouds at sunset.
Low centerpieces are groupings of three wrapped vases in cornflower-blue striped fabric brimming with blocks of tangerine, lilac and blue blooms.

For after-dinner dancing, the dance floor features a gobo of the couple's logo.
Pillows in the tangerine and purple palette pop against white lounge furniture.
The dessert bar is painted with tangerine and purple stripes; guests are treated to a range of upscale ice creams and creative toppings.
