ISES Live, the annual international conference held by the International Special Events Society, launches today in New Orleans. The goal of the event is to deliver an experience of stimulating ideas and knowledge sharing with other creative professionals from around the world. The host hotel is the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
Instead of traditional speaker presentations on the how-to of special events, ISES Live focuses on "engaged conversations" with top creative professionals in varied fields including event planning and production, film, fashion, music, art and design.
Today's events include a series of Leadership Sessions, the ISES annual general meeting and Spirit of Excellence Awards, and the opening event, to be held at the Chicory.
Friday, Aug. 21, will bring the kickoff "Welcome to ISES Live" event, a keynote from "Dear World" founder Robert Fogarty, a series of "Thought Talks" and the SEARCH fundraiser at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
Saturday, Aug. 22, will bring more education sessions include the CSEP Elevated Session with Kristine Yapp, event manager with Twitter's global business marketing team; lunch with sponsored roundtable conversations; the Esprit Award nominee cocktail reception; and the Esprit Awards gala and after-party, both at the Sugar Mill.
