An improving economic outlook worldwide and stronger corporate spending should boost the number of events and meetings staged worldwide next year, according to a forecast released by American Express during IMEX America last week:
The news from American Express Meetings and Events' 2016 Meetings and Events Forecast is almost uniformly positive, with predictions that the brightening world economy and an increase in corporations expanding globally will drive an increase in the number of meetings being held in most parts of the world. Eighty-five percent of 420 respondents said they expect to see the number of meetings held will either increase or remain stable next year. The number of attendees expected to attend those 2016 meetings also was up for all regions.--MeetingsNet
