Entrance with pallet table
The "Steampunk Vintage Big Top" entrance is lined with burgundy and ivory drape, old wood walls (to symbolize a train car) and vintage circus posters. The pallet table serves as the "ticket booth registration" featuring steampunk elements.
Step-and repeat with stilt walkers
As guests arrived--and had fun with the theme, as you can see!--they had a chance to get their photo taken with silt walkers at the step-and-repeat and to "run away with the circus!"

A steampunk archway leaded to the event. Details include books, clocks, sprockets and cogs, custom metal columns, travel trunks, silver metal cameras, galvanized birds and globes, hourglasses and more. Note the typewriter-key letters.

A customized banner hung in the background, taking elements from the invitation as well as other printed materials for the event. Later on, the banner was taken down for guests to sign and after the holidays was hung at the company office.
Floating skirt
A 3D moving element wowed guests at the bottom of the stairs--a floating skirt with video mapping (provided by
Dapper Sounds Entertainment and mapping by
Groove Labs Austin). Between three customized panels on the skirt, the images rotated between steampunk and circus. The diva also created custom handheld screens to capture the images as she moved her arms during the cocktail hour (
view video of mapping test here). Two more video mapping elements were located inside the main room.
Sky Candy aerialist
Upon entering the "circus," guests received a glass of champagne; some even had it poured by the
Sky Candy aerialist. After the executive speeches, Sky Candy performed a dedicated 4-minute aerial performance and then two more 15-minute performances throughout the night.
Ice sculpture
Giving all creative control to
Full Spectrum Ice Sculptures, the ice luge was an anchor to the main bar complete with metal fronts and sprockets/cogs provided by
Wilkinson Rhodes. Here, a proper circus elephant does his tricks.
Stage with band
The main stage was reserved for
White Ghost Shivers--imagine a smorgasbord of Cab Calloway, circus sideshow, KISS, cabaret, Hee Haw and Robert Johnson served up at Andy Kaufman's bar mitzvah. The stage was a collaboration of elements from
Premiere Events (tent top),
Backdrops Beautiful, and
Marquee Rents (stage), giving the perfect blend for the theme.
Steampunk seating
Room seating consisted of hanging pallets with metal stools, assorted vignettes, wine barrel cocktail tables and raw wood tables.

Custom chair covers made from potato sacks and adorned with chains and feathers help tie the theme together.
Program with entertainment
Programs were given to guests upon arrival, listing the entertainment lineup for the night, which included acrobats, aerialist shows, a cigar roller, hookah lounge, palm reader, tarot card reader, gaming tent (cards), roaming black jack tables, Skee Ball, airstream photo booth, karaoke, sword dancer, airbrush tattoos, lighted hula hoop dancer and roaming desserts.

In addition to wandering circus acts and tents to explore, guests could enjoy the
999 Eyes freak show tent, including hearing stories from Black Scorpion (pictured).
